Till this issue is resolved, please tell players to use Internet Explorer. When using Internet Explorer - it's possible to buy pets, poke and do chores with no problem.

I think there was a problem with Facebook. I experienced a problem myself with Firefox and I had to disable - enable JavaScript under preferences.
Please try it again and if necessary, make the change with JavaScript I mentioned above.
